Design work at OLOI
At OLOI, I worked as the lead UI/UX designer with one developer. I developed the branding, designed the website, and created visual design elements for the clothing.
Duration: 2 years
Developing Branding
Inspired by OLOI’s founder’s brightly colored sports cars that he races, OLOI’s branding uses playful and bold colors. To create a connection with the users, I wanted to add elements of whimsicality and delight.
OLOI’s target demographic are car fanatics that are in the age range of 18-35. The clothing uses sporty materials and made with durability and precision in mind. The style is minimalist but with unexpected details.
UI/UX Design
I created wireframes, conducted user testing, and created a simple flow for the OLOI’s website. I added playful elements such as the winding race track throughout the website.
Product Page
I included an easy and visually minimal way to navigate to other products. I didn’t want these pages to be too busy so that it would not distract from the actual products.
Checkout
I worked on creating a friction-less checkout process that was efficient and easy to digest. I focused on using visual hierarchy and blocking out each section to eliminate any frustrations or overwhelmingness.
To add whimsicality, I included a playful race car that moves a long the path after the user completes each step.
Visual Design Work
At OLOI I also conceptualized and developed visual design for prints, packaging, and hangtags.
